NOW More than Ever:
Women Taking Power
Saturday, March 25, 2023 - 9:30 AM
NOW More than Ever: Women Taking Power will be a day of films, conversations, learning, and opportunities for all who identify as or with women of all ages to give and take access to avenues of power: personal and professional, public and private. The goal is to create an opportunity for all who identify as women or feminists, especially youth, to gather for inspiration, information and motivation in a relaxed and supportive environment. We welcome anyone who identifies as female regardless of assignment at birth, as well as people who identify as non-binary or gender nonconforming and want to be in a female-identified environment. Featuring the documentary “Don’t Need You” about the Riot Grrrls movement; followed by a panel discussion “Pathways to Power and Possibility” with author Lyn Mikel Brown of Colby College; and a screening of Amy Poehler’s film “Moxie”. This will be a fun, informative and inclusive event!
This is an all day program that starts at 9:30am and ends at 4:30pm. Lunch will be provided for an additional charge of $15. Adult registration is $30, Students are admitted for free, but registration is strongly encouraged in order to accommodate every one.
