Here's how your support can go four times as far…

The Waldo was awarded a Historic Community Buildings Grant from the Maine Historic Preservation Commission to replace our outdated heating and cooling system. Like all grants from the Commission, the award covers 75 percent of the project cost, with The Waldo required to raise the remaining 25 percent, a 3-to-1 match. The full project is budgeted at just under $200,000, meaning we need to raise roughly $50,000 to unlock the full grant. With work scheduled to begin in October, time is of the essence.

 

The project will install a modern, energy-efficient heating and cooling system, funded in part by a bond Maine voters approved in 2024 to restore historic buildings across the state.
