The Waldo has recently implemented "All-in" ticketing pricing. This means you see the total cost of a ticket, including all fees, upfront, before you finalize your purchase, eliminating surprise fees at checkout. These fees include credit card transaction fees, maintaining a ticketing technology platform, and allow us to continue to bring quality performers to the stage.

We know that ticketing fees are an issue for many of you, and we get it. Although we try to minimize ticketing fees for as many shows as possible, here’s what we’d like you to know, and what we’d like to know from you.
-
We are a non-profit theatre, so ticketing fees enable us to cover credit card transaction fees, which represent a significant hit to our bottom line.
-
Ticket fees also help to cover the costs of maintaining a ticketing technology platform.
-
We do our best to keep ticket prices as low as possible, and the vast majority of that revenue goes directly to artists and royalties.
-
As a small theatre in a rural community, the number of tickets we can sell and the number of people we are able to sell them to is limited.
-
We know some of you would like to be able to buy tickets in advance, in person, to avoid paying the fee. Unfortunately, the cost of staffing the theatre box office during the day is prohibitive, and doing so would require a price increase to cover the cost of labor.
The Waldo brings the excitement and enrichment of live theater to the MidCoast, focusing on performances tailored to our unique setting and drawing from our local and regional amateur and
professional talent.
The Waldo is an intimate musical performance venue, enabling local, regional and national artists to engage and enrich our community.
As a community-based organization, our focus is to unify and strengthen our region through performing arts, outreach, broad-based educational programs, and collaboration with other local non-profits.
We honor The Waldo’s movie house roots through popular film favorites, special film series, one-of-a-kind and local film-focused events, and a wide range of move classics.
