The Fellowship of the Black Pearl is an underwater adventure where a brave band of sea creatures — and one unlikely pirate — must battle dark forces, defeat the fearsome Kraken, and recover a legendary black pearl to save their home, the Great Oyster Reef. Epic, imaginative, and full of heart, this tale proves that even the smallest hero can change the tide!

Lights. Camera. BRAAAINS!
In this one-week Zombie Filmmaking Camp, students in grades 8–12 will bring the undead to life by creating an original zombie film from start to finish. Campers will dive into every stage of the filmmaking process—brainstorming story ideas, writing a script, designing characters, and planning their shots—before stepping in front of and behind the camera.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of acting for film, basic cinematography, and on-set collaboration, then move into editing to shape their final movie. Along the way, they’ll explore how horror storytelling builds tension, mood, and suspense (with plenty of creative gore—imagined, not real!). Whether you’re a future filmmaker, performer, or just love a good zombie apocalypse, this camp is all about creativity, teamwork, and making something awesome together.
No previous experience required—just imagination, curiosity,
and a willingness to survive the zombie apocalypse!
Registration includes 2 free tickets to the film screening.
All other tickets are Pay-What-You-Can. Proceeds go to
supporting The Waldo’s scholarship fund.
Instructor Bio: Lola Rocknrolla is an award winning filmmaker, playwright and musician known for comedy/horror films like Dragzilla, Nefertitty in Space, Night of the living Gay, Bloodbath of Terror, and Attack of the Yoga Zombies. Her most recent documentary “The Big Johnson” premiered at Slamdance film Festival in 2025 to rave reviews and has since won multiple awards including "Best Feature" at the LES film festival and "Special Jury Prize" at "Doc'n'roll" in London. "The Big Johnson" just finished its theatrical run in New York City and will be streaming on Apple and Amazon in February of 2026.
Summer Theatre Camp
This summer, join us on The Waldo stage! Over the course of two weeks, campers will learn valuable theatre arts skills in acting, performance, and backstage design, all while rehearsing the play The Fellowship of the Black Pearl. Under the guidance of professional actor and director, Teralyn Reiter, campers will spend the morning developing their Actor’s Tools before applying these skills in rehearsals in the afternoon. Campers will also enjoy workshops further diving into theatre specialties such as lighting, sound, and movement given by professionals in the field. On the last day of camp, family & friends are invited to join us for a performance of The Fellowship of the Black Pearl on Friday, July 31st at 2:00. All levels of experience are welcome.
